The Media Arts Communications Academy is a career pathways program at McMinnville High School. Ninth- through twelfth-grade students can access beginning and advanced courses that develop professional skills in a collaborative environment.
Media and communications surround our lives and help frame how we see and experience the world. Learning the tools and critical skills to understand and create messages in this new and rapidly changing landscape is a 21st-century requirement.
MACA’s mission and vision focuses on creativity, project-based learning, authentic assessment and media literacy. Curriculum is designed around an annual social justice theme that encourages deep and meaningful learning that empowers students to be active learners in the world.
Interested students may enroll in individual classes or apply to take English, science, social studies and media classes at MACA.
